Hello friends, up for grabs is a original Volvo 240 Sedan which has arrived to Chicago from Georgia!! The car is an amazing example of Swedish engineering and a true test of time. This 240 which is also lovingly referred to as “Sally” has 325k plus miles on a working odometer. Fabric interior, automatic, power windows, original factory hub caps which I sourced and yes, they match and are what the car came with when new . The car starts easily and drives well. These models are becoming more and more rare. ! Air conditioner does not work and will need a charge but the fan works at all speeds. Heat works great. I just had the car serviced at my local volvo shop and had a new brake booster, oil change and a bunch of other small stuff done. New water pump and lower hoses. The front map pockets are totally intact, correct color as well. Upgraded sound system with a Sony head unit and upgraded speakers. The interior of the driver side door shows some superficial rust but I don’t see rust anywhere else, please see the pictures and video clips I have attached. Body has some scrapes and dings and scratches, paint shows sun fading and petina all over, true southern car all it’s life.Super cool vintage volvo from the south. Engine is EXCELLENT, Transmission is also EXCELLENT, the overdrive arrow is not illuminated and it shifts wonderfully. I’m a volvo and Saab enthusiast, my collection is just too large and I need to sell off a few. I have the original window sticker as well as some original books and records but most importantly it’s been checked over and serviced by the volvo shop locally which I have gone to since I was a kid. True southern survivor, the only rust I see is in the sill of the driver door and in the lip , it’s superficial and not rusted through by ANY MEANS. Someone re painted the rear fender and it’s beautifully done with a perfect finish. The rest of the body shows petina and sun fading. One front fender has some scrapes and indents as pictured. The car leaks a little power steering fluid, I added about 4 ounces today and that was after 3 months. The windshield has a non spreading tiny rock chip. This is a original volvo 240 red block engine sedan which is a modern day classic. Car is located at my home in libertyville illinois.
