1993 Volvo 240

Description

This is a really nice 240 for lots of reasons, including the following:
The interior is about the best I've seen: the seats, door panels, and carpets are all excellent.
The replacement door pockets have been reversed so they are less likely to get smashed when you enter or exit the car.
The floors are just about perfect and show no rust or repair work, this is clearly a car from a dry place.
Many aspects of this car that are typically bad on most 240s have been replaced:
Tail light assemblies and circuit borards are new
All the major relays (main fuel, hot spot) are recently replaced
The engine temp sensor is recently replaced
The battery is one year old
The pcv system has been serviced recently
The crank position sensor is new
The 26 spoke (including spare) 14x5.5in Volvo corona wheels are in great condition. They look to be reconditioned.
The new Dunlop Graspic tires on the rear are all the snow tires the car needs and work great year round as well
The typically falling-out-of-the-doors speakers have been replaced with coaxial "kickers". The original style speaker grills are in perfect condition
The left ball joint is the only suspension part having needed replacing/front end alignment was recently done
The car's owner is selling the car only because he found a color preference 240 replacement
Front and rear brakes are recently replaced including emergency brakes
The plastic center console is new
The thermostat and and coolant are new
The transmission was recently flushed (17qts fluid)
The cam plug and valve cover are new
The fuel filter is new
The Drive shaft center bearing is new/the u-joints are perfect
I've bought lots of cars from eBay for clients. I've read a lot of sellers' claims, most of which have been opinion rather than fact. A car claimed to have been "totally recommissioned" came to us without a battery and needing k in work just to get it running! This car however has really been gone through carefully. It's not perfect (It sometimes doesn't start instantly on really wet days, something we are working on and will try to work out before it leave the shop), A/C needs to be serviced, and there are a couple panels which have been repainted but that won't keep this car from delivering lots of years of reliable, safe, and enjoyable service to its new owner.
