Cosmopolitodus is an extinct genus of sharks. Its only species is currently Cosmopolitodus Hastalis, the broad-tooth mako. It is an extinct mackerel shark that lived between thirty to one million years ago during the Oligocene to the Early Pleistocene epochs.
