    Description

    Unusual 1945 American Issue cover.  Greenland to Newfoundland dated 3-6-1945.  Full set of the American Issue on "O.H.M.S."  sent from Julianehaab to someone at the Fleet Mail Office St. Johns Newfoundland.  Envelope was probably carried aboard a ship to Greenland and made use of to send / or "favor carry" the stamps .  No enclosure or receiver marks on reverse.
    There are some interesting lettering under certain values .
    Under the 15 & 10 ore : "MFB 1483: 1,500,00 - 12 43 (3245) HQ 1772-39-1996"
    Under the low values  1, 5 and 7 ore  is the 2 line bi-lingual slogan
    "Don't waste words - Don't waste paper"
    "Economisez les mots et le papier"
