Bronze Medallion from the Canadian National Exhibition hosted in Toronto, Ontario in 1921. These achievement medals were minted in both bronze and silver featuring the visage of the then Baron of Vimy. This was after his Knighthood for his achievements with the Canadian Expeditionary Force at Vimy and before his elevation from Baron to Lord.
During his time as Governor General of Canada (1921- 1926), Byng embraced his duties and responsibilities making him a hugely popular public figure. Amongst other awards he and his wife promoted was the Lady Byng Trophy, presented to the most sportsmanlike player in the National Hockey League.
