This Goose was cast in Japan many years (even many decades) ago.  It's been in my family approx. 45 years.  My Mama and Dad bought it at an estate auction before that. They were always going to sales and auctions.  Mostly because it was my Mama's passion, but they also ran a booth at a local Antique Mall.
The casting is beautifully done. Very little, if any, pitting in the iron.  If you look at pictures 8 & 9, you can see the smooth breast of the bird, you don't even realize its cast iron!  Even the feathers and other detail are beautifully done.
I hope the new owner will love it as much as my family has!
