This Farmer's Bulletin No. 1612 was issued in January 1930 on the Propagation of Aquatic Game Birds by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  It was written by W. L. McAtee, Senior Biologist, in Charge, Division of Food Habits Research Bureau of Biological Survey.  The 41 pages describe the Sanitation, Control of Enemies (Birds of Prey, Snapping Turtles, Etc..), Care (Nesting, Eggs, Hatchlings, Adults), Wintering, as applied to Mallard Ducks, Other Ducks, Canada Geese, Other Geese, Swans and others.
There are many black & white photos as well as diagrams on building coops, traps, runs, water gates and pinioning and more.
