For Your Consideration, I’m Pleased To Offer A Beautiful Antique Set Of Matching WWI 1914 EXTREMELY RARE DOCc LTD. LONG SHANK CAVALRY SPURS.  THE BROAD ARROW IS STAMPED ON THE BOTTOM OF BOTH SHANKS.  ADDITIONALLY, THE LEFT SPUR TAB IS STAMPED, “M.J. WILSON & SONS OTTAWA 1915. The Broad Arrow Of Course Indicates That These Spurs Were Used By Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) Mounted Units In WWI.  So There Is No Doubt That They Are of Military Issue.  However, There Is Also The Possibility That These Belonged To A Member Of The RNWMP, Or RCMP.  As Many Members Of The Force Served In WWI And Upon Return Used Their Spurs For Duty. Same Goes For The Fact That A Number Of Returning Soldiers Became Part Of The RCMP Upon Their Return From The “War To End All Wars.” Either Way, These Are The Exact Style Of Long Shank Spurs Used By The RCMP.  So If Your Wanting To Collect Them For The Historical Value, Or If Your An Active Member Of The RCMP And Want To Have Them Refurbished, To Put Them Back Into Duty.  Either Way This Set Is A Winner!  For Those Wanting To Have Them Refurbished, The Leather Shop At RCMP Depot Division Can Do Them For You.
