    Description

Good vintage condition, exactly as pictured. Rare huge WW1/WW2 era Canadian-made Royal Banner of Scotland flag. Hand painted lion. The usual “official” use of this flag is at residences where a member of the Royal Family was staying. Based on its huge size, it would have likely been used at somewhere a Royal was staying during a Royal Visit to Canada. Or displayed from a building during a parade. Possibly for Edward VIII in 1919 or 1929, or during the Visit of George VI in 1939.  An amazing piece of history. Measures a huge 14 feet by 7 feet. Displays well, shows lots of wear. Some stains, and some tears along the seams. Would look amazing hanging up.  Found in an estate in rural Manitoba. Possibly used during a Royal Visit to Brandon or Winnipeg.
