A remarkable journey from the shores of the St Lawrence in the heart of Canada to the battles of the Western Front in "le pays maternelle". Heale and his battalion were vigorous in their campaigning from their inception, training and mobilization in Montreal, in1915. Ultimately, it was disbanded and absorped into the Canadian Mounted Rifles (5th Bataillion) and the Canadian Grenadier Guards (87th Bataillion) in the aftermath of the Battle of Arras (including Vimy Ridge) at the end of April, 1917.
In that time, the 60th garnered Battle Honours for:
    Mount Sorrel
    Somme 1916
    Flers- Courcelette
    Ancre Heights
    Arras 1917
    Vimy 1917
    France and Flanders 1916- 1917
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
