WW1 CEF Medal Pair with SWB to 3rd Battalion, Grigsby, Severeley Wounded
175173 PTE. G.E. GRIGSBY. 3-CAN. INF. With SWB.
George Ernest Grigsby was born at Cranbrook, Kent, England on 23/8/1890 and was a Locomotive Fireman by occupation when he attested on 17th August 1915 at Welland, Ontario. He was wounded on 8th Oct. 1916 and again severely, on 4th December 1916, this resulted in an operation leaving one leg 2" shorter than the other and his discharge from the army. In 1933 he married Nora Evelyn D'Alton.
He died on 22nd Feb 1959 at Harcourt, Haliburton, Ontario.
